YOUR NEW JOB...
We are looking for a part-qualified financial accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career in this exciting and varied role. Please note that whilst this role is initially for a 12-month fixed period, there is a strong possibility that it will become permanent.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support a wide range of financial reporting, tax, and month-end responsibilities across the UK SPORTFIVE business, playing a key role in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, tax filings, and revenue tracking, while also contributing to cashflow forecasting and supporting financial reporting packs. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to gain broad experience across core financial processes in a fast-paced, international environment.
AS OUR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL...

Prepare and post month-end journals across revenue and cost lines

Reconcile key balance sheet accounts including revenue, VAT, tax, and intercompany

Support the month-end close process, including use of Lucanet
-
Maintain revenue and cost trackers and performing reconciliations against commercial data

Prepare VAT returns and supporting corporation tax and PSA/QIP payments

Assist with the preparation of cashflow forecasts

Support the preparation of sales booking forms and input into Salesforce where required

Contribute to fixed asset and CAPEX reporting and amortisation tracking

Assist with timesheet tracking and other finance system data flows

Work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Analyst on monthly reporting requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING…

Actively studying toward an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)

Strong technical foundation in finance and accounting principles

Proven experience in a similar finance role (e.g. assistant accountant, finance officer)

Good working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with finance systems (e.g. SAP, Lucanet, or similar)

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders and managing competing priorities

A proactive mindset and a willingness to get involved across the team

An interest in sport is desirable, but not essential
