An exciting opportunity with plenty of creative freedom awaits you in our Global Digital Services & Data team at our Hamburg location. Our colleague Uta Blankenfeld  is looking for you to join her team as: 

 

 Working Student (f/d/m) Data Engineering 

Part Time | 20h/Week | Initially litimed to one year

 

Our Global Digital Services & Data team is responsible for digital transformation and data‑driven services. We focus on building and further developing global data platforms, integrating new technologies, and providing robust data infrastructures for internal processes and customer projects. The goal is to deliver scalable data solutions that make sports marketing more efficient and transparent.

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will work in and with a small, dedicated team of experienced data engineers
  • You build web scraping processes for the continuous collection of online data sources
  • You support the development and maintenance of automated data pipelines that process information from various internal and external sources
  • You contribute to improving data quality and availability for downstream analytics and reporting processes
  • You identify new technical solution approaches by contributing your own ideas

 


Your Profile:

  • You are an enrolled student in (business) informatics, data engineering, software development, or a comparable technical program
  • You have good Python programming experience and are familiar with databases (SQL)
  • You have solid experience in web scraping and data extraction, including working with HTTP requests and APIs
  • Knowledge in parsing HTML/CSS, and processing structured (JSON, XML) as well as unstructured data using robust collection techniques are required
  • Experience with cloud technologies in the Microsoft Azure environment (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, or Azure SQL) is a plus
  • You are a team player, communicate proactively, and have a good command of English? It's a match!
