An exciting opportunity with plenty of creative freedom awaits you from 07/15/2026 in our Information Security department at our Hamburg location. Our colleague Shantanu Kumar Das is looking for you to join her team as:
Working Student (f/d/m) Information Security
Part-time (20 hours/per week)
The Information Security department is responsible for protecting SPORTFIVE’s information assets, systems, users, and business processes against cyber risks. The department supports the organization through security governance, risk management, compliance activities, security awareness, incident coordination and the implementation of security controls.
Job Responsibilities
The working student will support the Information Security department with operational and administrative tasks, including:
- Supporting information security risk management activities, including maintaining risk trackers, documenting risks, tracking open actions and following up on remediation status.
- Supporting the security gatekeeping process in ticketing and project management systems by reviewing incoming requests, identifying security-relevant topics, collecting required information and escalating items for further security review.
- Supporting the maintenance of information security documentation, trackers, and internal knowledge bases.
- Assisting with the preparation of security awareness materials, user communications and phishing awareness activities.
- Helping to collect and organize evidence for audits, ISO 27001, SOC2 Type II, internal controls and compliance activities.
- Assisting with vendor and third-party security assessment documentation.
- Helping prepare basic reports, summaries, meeting notes and presentation materials.
- Supporting the documentation of security incidents, lessons learned and follow-up actions.
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to security projects, such as Microsoft 365 security, endpoint security, identity and access management, cloud security, and data protection.
- Performing basic research on information security topics, tools, standards and best practices under guidance.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Management or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, information security, cloud services or risk management.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity, security governance, compliance and enterprise IT security.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Structured, reliable and proactive working style.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Previous experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, ISO 27001, IT support, ticketing systems, project management tools, or security awareness is beneficial but not mandatory.
