Team and Job Overview
SPORTFIVE is seeking a Director, Digital to drive SPORTFIVE’s U.S. digital strategy, innovation, and execution. This role is responsible for driving client engagement, content development, platform growth, revenue generation, and employee development. The Director will manage individuals, projects, cross-functional teams, collaborate with internal and external partners, and deliver measurable business impact. The work involves holistic digital marketing, including social media, influencer marketing, media partnerships, and more.
This role reports to the VP of Digital, USA/Canada.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with SPORTFIVE’s U.S. business objectives.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies and trends to enhance digital capabilities and fan engagement.
- Drive innovation in digital products, services, and content offerings.
Content & Engagement
- Oversee content development and distribution across all digital platforms with a heavy focus on social media.
- Lead campaign development and storytelling to grow and engage audiences.
- Ensure content is optimized for performance, brand alignment, and audience resonance.
Platform Growth & Revenue
- Lead digital platform growth initiatives, including paid/organic acquisition, CRM, and lifecycle marketing.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to integrate digital solutions into client offerings and drive monetization.
- Own performance marketing, analytics, and reporting to maximize ROI.
New Business & RFP Leadership
- In partnership with the VP of Digital, lead U.S. Digital’s new business efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities.
- Lead the digital strategy, ideation, and solution development for RFPs (Requests for Proposal), pitches, and presentations to ensure SPORTFIVE’s digital capabilities are positioned as a key differentiator.
- Develop tailored, insight-driven proposals in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Oversee the creation of digital case studies, credentials, and best-in-class work examples to support business development.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, develop, and mentor the U.S. Digital team to achieve strategic goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment with creative, commercial, brand, and data teams.
- Build strong relationships with clients, rights-holders, media partners, and vendors.
Performance & Analytics
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure digital performance and business impact.
- Leverage data insights to refine digital strategy and enhance campaign performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or digital product management, ideally within sports, entertainment, or agency environments.
- Proven track record leading high-performing teams and delivering successful digital campaigns.
- Deep expertise in social media, content strategy, paid/organic growth, audience development, and influencer marketing.
- Strong understanding of analytics tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Competitive Qualifications
- Exposure to emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI, blockchain) in digital ecosystems.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Knowledge of photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere.

Job Requirements
- Ability to be in our New York, NY office at a minimum of 4 days per week.

Compensation
Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000
SPORTFIVE is providing the compensation range it might pay for this position. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
