An exciting opportunity to shape and advance innovative AI solutions within our Global IT Team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and evolving our AI landscape. Our colleague Chiron de Jong  is looking for you to join his team in Hamburg as:

 

 AI Engineer (m/f/d) Global IT 

Full-time | Part-time | Job-sharing

 

You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the enterprise-wide AI platform that enables the development, deployment, and orchestration of AI Agents across our global organization. This role ensures that all AI‑driven solutions, especially autonomous and semi-autonomous agents are secure, scalable, compliant, observable, and reusable.  

You will collaborate closely with business teams experimenting with Agent technologies and provide the IT governance, best practices, and technical foundation to bring those solutions into a robust and enterprise-grade environment.  

 

  • YOUR ROLE AT A GLANCE 

    You... 

    • design and operate the enterprise AI platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and integration with core IT systems. 

    • build and maintain the orchestration layer enabling multi‑agent workflows and communication (e.g., via MCP). 

    • define and enforce best practices for agent design, tool usage, reuse, lifecycle management, and architecture. 

    • ensure security, compliance, and governance across all AI agents and platform components, including IAM, data protection, and auditability. 

    • develop shared services and reusable components such as model connectors, vector store integrations, and monitoring modules. 

    • partner with business teams to industrialize prototypes, provide technical leadership, and guide adoption of platform capabilities. 

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 

    • 5+ years of experience in cloud-native or AI/ML platform engineering. 

    • strong hands-on experience with LLM-based systems, including:  

      • Agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, Haystack)  

      • MCP, tool integration, or similar communication protocols  

      • Vector databases (Pinecone, Redis, Qdrant, Azure AI Search, etc.) 

    • proficiency with Python, TypeScript, or C# 

    • experience deploying AI applications on Azure, including: 

      • Azure OpenAI / model hosting 

      • Azure Functions, AKS, ACI, APIM  

      • Monitoring (App Insights, Prometheus, logging pipelines) 

    • strong background in API design and systems integration, including connecting AI services with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Graph, M365, and Salesforce 

    • solid understanding of security, compliance, and governance, including data protection, IAM (Entra ID), auditability, and safe AI patterns 

    • experience transforming prototypes into production solutions and partnering with business teams to drive adoption
